- 4 lbs pork ribs spare ribs or baby back ribs
- 2 tablespoons BBQ dry rub brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 cup BBQ sauce your favorite brand
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat dry.
Combine all dry rub ingredients in a small bowl.
Generously coat ribs with dry rub.
Pour water, apple cider vinegar, and liquid smoke into the Instant Pot.
Arrange ribs in the Instant Pot on a trivet.
Secure the lid and cook on high pressure for 25 minutes (baby back) or 30 minutes (spare ribs).
Allow natural pressure release for 10-15 minutes, then manually release the remaining pressure.
Brush with BBQ sauce.
Broil or grill for 3-5 minutes, flipping once, or until caramelized.
Rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
