Ingredients

  • 2 6-ounce salmon fillets, skin on or off
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley or sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, garlic, honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if using skin-on fillets) in the hot skillet. Cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
  • Flip the salmon fillets and pour the honey garlic glaze over the salmon, coating each fillet evenly.
  • Reduce the heat to medium-low and cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and the glaze has thickened slightly.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley or sesame seeds (optional) and serve immediately.

Notes

Nutrition: (Nutritional information will vary based on specific ingredients used.)

  • For extra crispy skin, make sure the salmon is completely dry before searing.
  • Don't overcook the salmon! It's best when it's slightly undercooked in the center.
  • You can substitute maple syrup for honey for a slightly different flavor profile.
