Peanut Butter Cookies Recipe - Soft & Flavorful

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup 1 stick unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • - 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • - 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and

fluffy

  • Beat in the peanut butter and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Beat in the egg until fully incorporated.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing on low speed until just combined.
  • Cover the dough and chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Roll the dough into 1-inch balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches

between each cookie

  • Use a fork to gently flatten each cookie in a criss-cross pattern.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers are set.
  • Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For best results, chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking.
